Zip compression can be applied to files that cannot be natively optimized, i.e. all files other than MS Office XML files (DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, VSDX etc.) and image files (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP etc.)

 
Although most of the files produced these days can be natively optimized by the Z-OptimiZr Native Optimization for XML files and  Native Optimization for image and picture files features, the Zip compression remains available for instance for LOG or TXT files.
The Zip compression still delivers fantastic results when compressing these types of files.

Zip files can be opened by Windows Explorer (with no need for any specific decompression utility) since Windows Explorer shows Zip files as standard Windows Explorer folders.

 
The Z-OptimiZr Zip Compression feature does not require Microsoft Office installed on the computer.
This feature has no dependencies towards Microsoft Office.
